Office, oh why did it have to be a boring day at the office? Nothing ever really happened to much other than curing patients, or using new experimentations for them. Scarlet was a doctor who worked in a hospital for about a year and half, where she was in charge of surgery. She found this gig to be something interesting stepping outside of her familiar settings. Scarlet was like 29 years old, and from the heart of Ireland, which her voice showed it well. This job, experimenting on patients was her thing, she didn’t care really what happened to them nor did it ever faze her. What was going through their heads or anything. In a way mostly she had no emotions for what she did. A pile of paperwork sat on her desk as she had her head down on the desk.
Total hatred for the paperwork kind of made her insane, well not to be admitted for a patient. She sighed grabbing her cup of tea and started to drink it. Man was she bored of being in this place, it was like a world of nothingness, and blahness. Scarlet had to wonder what her patients were up to, considering she didn’t have any appointments for a few hours. She heard some one knocking at the door, knowing she never kept it locked, she wondered if they would just walk in. if it was important that why not.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - “Hellooo?”
Ace cooed at the closed door, knowing full well that the doctor was in. The bright haired girl couldn’t help it; she had just woken up from a three hour nap; she was hungry and bored as hell. As she stood waiting to be let in, she tapped her foot obnoxiously. Ace was currently looking for a release; she knew Scarlett had access to the drugs in the medicine cabinets, and she knew that if she didn’t get some sort of drug in the next day, she’d go insane; she’d fall into some sort of dementia until she got her drugs. At least that was what she had told the doctors when she wanted something.
The pink haired girl shivered as she thought about her last relapse. The doctors here had worked hard on Ace to get her to ‘destroy’ her second personality; in the end they had put her on drugs to keep her second personality dampened in a sense; when they had started to wean her off the drugs, Ace’s second personality “Josie” had come back out, and had wreaked havoc until they sedated her and put her back on the drugs until they could find time to work one on one with her. Now Ace was back to fighting with herself. They had started to hand her pills out three times a week instead of four times, and she couldn’t handle it anymore. Josie would keep her up at night, and it left Ace in a more than irritable mood.
To the doctors, she had bi-polar disorder because she had MDP; turns out she had MDP long before she was diagnosed with bi-polar disorder. Ace scratched her arms before kicking the door furiously. Being bi-polar left you with rapidly changing moods that could or world change at the very drop of a dime. Thankfully Ace was on semi-weekly mood pills; they kept most of the more “extreme” moods under control. The last time Ace had a bad episode, she had slashed a cheek of a doctor with her nails.
“Doc! Open the damn door before I kick it in!”
Ace knew it was never locked, but she didn’t feel like letting herself in.

Scarlet sighed; she didn’t like some of these patients. There were a few who could just make her smile to herself just because of their entertainment they brought to life. She had feelings just she never showed them. She wanted to find cures for disorders that couldn’t be cured. That was her goal when she started at Berkley Medical School in California, and when her boyfriend broke her heart her emotions snapped and she drove herself into her work. She knew that it was bad and sometimes she would get stressed over it, but nothing a little yoga couldn’t cure. She heard a voice outside her door, it sounded like a patient Ace, who she helped out a little with. She sighed a little figuring maybe she would go away in like five minutes. Though, of course kicking at the door didn’t stop in five minutes. That only meant that the patient didn’t have her meds or they hadn’t gave them to her so far.
She stood up, her black hair pulled into low hanging pig tails to keep out of her face. She heard her say something about kicking the door open. She had to laugh and of course always wanted to see people do it. Ace wasn’t her favorite patient nor was she her most hated patient either. “Alright I am coming.” She said in that pretty Irish accent. Her pants covered her heals and her shirt was kind of low hanging. She was still young so looking professional was never her thing either. She figure she was here no one was going to say that she looked unprofessional, cause then she could come back and say that it was for the patients. She opened the door letting Ace in. “Hello Ace, what brings you to my office today?” She asked as she sat down behind her desk

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - “Alright I am coming.”
“You better be,”
Ace snarled under her breath, as she stepped back to let the doctor open the door once she was there. A wicked sneer was felt in her head and she shook her brightly colored hair in front of her face to hide almost; she hated it when doctors saw her suffer with Josie. Yes she was supposed to be open and honest but there were some things in this “hospital” that made Ace cringe. Like the topic is DNA-mutation. They were experimenting on some of the more “extreme” cases or some of the very new, very basic cases that could be cured with some pills.
The thought of becoming something else made Ace’s skin crawl. As Scarlet opened the door, she lifted her head to stare the doctor in her pretty eyes and smirked slightly. Ace had always envied people with accents; once or twice Josie had let some sort of hybrid accent out, but it was very rare. It sounded like the doctor was amused. Ace scowled lightly, her pink bangs fell into her chocolate brown eyes. Ace had oddly colored eyes; both her parents had blue eyes and yet she had brown eyes.
“Hello Ace, what brings you to my office today?”
“Do you know why they cut my drugs back?”
Ace spat the words as soon as Scarlet was finished talking. She pushed through the doctor into the room and scanned around; thinking that maybe Scarlet would have something to keep the jitters and more away for the next few days; Ace wouldn’t get her pills for another three days, and she had used the last of her ‘stash’ to get high yesterday.

Scarlet watched as the young patient walked in, she seemed jittery which was bad. Usually meant that a case was coming on and that usually was treated with a lot of pills. She had to wonder if Ace had been taking her meds at all. She stood up walked over to the huge book case that was filled with patients that she was responsible for. Like all she had a copy of a few patients that weren’t hers but cases that she was interested in or in the absence of a doctor she would take over and have on file. She pulled one file that said Lafarvier, Ace Hannah from the second row that was eye level. She walked back to her small desk filled of papers and opened it up. She listened to her comment as she opened the file to the medicine section. She read through it quickly taking some notes about it.
“Well miss Lafarvier it seems that we cut your dosage down to three a week. The reason was so you could come off the meds and have complete control… but from how you are reacting the pills don’t seem to be working.” She said with that smooth accent of hers. She could calm any one down except for Ace. “Hmm… have you had an episode of this Josie lately?” She asked her as she wrote a new note in her file. She continued to write as she waited for Ace to answer her question. She was thinking about a little stronger medicine that she only prescribed to patients who truly needed it and well it was very experimental drug that she knew would be perfect for Ace. She looked up kind of impatient for the answer she awaited for.

“No, it’s not fucking working.”
Ace snapped, rubbing her face as she sat in one of the chairs in the room. She wouldn’t be here if the drugs were working; no that’s a lie. Ace would still be here; probably asking for a higher dosage for the time being until she needed another boost. The pink haired girl watched the doctor warily, rubbing her eyes again as she tried to get through the up-coming anxiety attack she knew would happen to her soon. Ace knew her body and she knew how Josie could react when she didn’t get what she wanted. Ace could get like that too; but not on the extreme level that Josie could react in.
Josie she liked to think was the entire ‘extreme’ side of herself; Josie inflicted extreme moods against people and Josie knew she wouldn’t get in trouble; Ace would take the blame. But because Ace was taking the blame 99 percent of the time, she could feel herself getting hostile towards therapists and doctors and those who assume they’re more special than other patients.
“Hmm… have you had an episode of this Josie lately?”
“Josie isn’t just an episode; she’s part of me.”
Ace said, standing and pacing around the doctor’s desk before sitting down in the chair again, a low sigh leaving her mouth before she glared up at Scarlet.
“Is there any way you could up my dosage?”

Scarlet watched as her new patient reacted to her questions. She knew exactly how to act around them, and could manipulate them into thinking they needed to be off their meds. She reread her file again making sure she didn’t leave anything out about her history when she was admitted or anything that could be used against her. She listened to her say the medicine wasn’t working, which would be good in any case. Though, Scarlet didn’t want to deal with another patient grabbing at her or ruining her clothes. There was a reason why she sometimes didn’t like to be touched. “Alright…. Well then I am afraid we may have to up your days on dosage.” She said softly looking up from her paper work to see the pink hair young girl sitting there. From how she looked she definitely needed her medicine back to seven days a week. She got to thinking that she knew of a few prescriptions that could help her out.
“I am going to call Josie an episode for right now; I do understand she is very much a part of you, Miss Ace. Please calm yourself down.” She said watching her, funny how things were going the way she hoped they would. She leaned over getting into a cabinet on the side of her desk and pulled out a few bags of things. “Would you like a cup of tea?” she asked Ace and she poured some into her cup. She listened to what she asked, and thought about it. “Well there is a way to up your dosage and it’s going to another drug to calm yourself down, it’s a stronger dosage than your current meds but you will take one once a day for the first 6 months, then we would put you down to 5 a week for about 3 months, then 3 a week. That is to say if you take them and your reaction is good. Keep in mind though there are side affects to it. Such as being sick to your stomach.” She said taking a sip of her tea. She couldn’t help but watch the girl and her reaction.

“Alright…. Well then I am afraid we may have to up your days on dosage.”
“No, don’t up my days, up the fucking amount of pills I take per day.”
Ace replied, almost cutting the doctor off as she played with her bright pink hair. She knew better than to be snappy around a doctor but Ace wanted her drugs; she wouldn’t get her next hit for a little while, and she needed it now. As the voice in her head decided that Ace needed to mess around, the pink-haired beauty sighed and leaned heavily against the back of the chair, worried for a second that Scarlet would just tell her something to get her out. Anxiety formed in the bottom of her stomach and like a knife it seemed to pierce her very being until Scarlet spoke again.
“I am going to call Josie an episode for right now; I do understand she is very much a part of you, Miss Ace. Please calm yourself down.”
“Miss Ace? Please Doc, it’s Ace. Like a playing card, just ‘Ace’ will do. Besides, if Josie heard you call her ‘an episode’ she’d kick your ass,”
Ace tried not to get upset with the doctor; it seemed as if the older woman was doing her best to piss her off. Ace slouched and kicked her feet up onto the desk, getting comfortable. Shaking her head at the offer of tea (no offence, but she was a vodka kind of girl), Ace returned to thinking about the others that had just wanted Ace to get out. Wasn’t it after hours anyways? As the doctor mentioned a new drug, and how they were going to administer it, the pink-haired nineteen year old got curious and looked over at the doctor.
“Just getting sick to your stomach? Or are there more than that?”
Ace wasn’t sure about going on the new drug; nothing had helped with Josie yet, and she wasn’t sure if ‘Josie’ could be cured. The pink haired girl bit her lower lip, thinking to herself about the possibilities of trading one drug for another.

Scarlet looked at her as she basically was snappy at her. Scarlet shook her head just trying to ignore those things was enough so she could go out and have a drink or two that night with a few of the doctors. She was starting to dislike Ace a little bit as this meeting was progressing. “Fine whatever.” She said in disgust. She really didn’t want to put up a fight about what the patient needed and everything. She smiled that fake smile that you could take as being real. She wrote down in the file again, she for some reason always had to record everything with her patients. Or news at least. She always loved putting new drugs or doing a new dosage of meds for certain patients. Though, in any case being the newest doctor had worse advantages to it because some doctors decide they want to dumb case loads on her. Hence all the paper work she was supposed to be doing. She looked up at her when she said just call her Ace nothing else just Ace. Then it was the whole Josie thing over again. She shook her head. “Alright Ace, if you feel comfortable you may call me Scarlet instead of Doc… and as far as Josie goes I won’t call her an episode.” She said acting way to nice, but it was the only thing she could do to make her think that she was a friend.
She grabbed a prescription pad, and then the bottle with the pills in it. These were probably the only medication that didn’t cause to much damage. She knew it was bad to give such a pill like this but she had seen patients get hooked on them which made research on them better. She looked at the label. “With these pills they cause stomachaches and headaches that’s all… best advised taking them at meal time, that way you have something in your stomach and it won’t hurt as bad. “She said reading right off the bottle, she knew that Ace probably would enjoy these better than her other pills. “They are strong enough to settle Josie into the background, and she won’t bother you.” Scarlet added trying to make it sound right in her head.

Ace watched as the doctor tried to pull off the nice-guy attitude, but the pink haired female wanted nothing to do with her and her niceness. She wasn’t in here to make friends she was in here to keep her from killing someone. The female stood, paced for a minute, and then sat down again, anxious to see what the Doc was scribbling in her file. The time seemed to tick slowly as Ace waited, hoped for her drug increase or something along those lines. Ace couldn’t handle constantly being withdrawal-y or pissed; Josie could though, and maybe giving control up for a few days would help her get better. Nah, maybe not. As the doctor talked about the drugs and when to take them and all that stuff, Ace’s attention perked and she straightened up in her chair. Well now this was exciting.
“I can handle the stomach aches and the headaches; I’ll fucking overeat if having something in my stomach helps,”
Ace said, slightly oblivious to what the pills could really do. The facts that they were strong enough to keep Josie down worried her; but since she couldn’t get enough of the other drug, why not get hooked on another? Maybe a nice cocktail would do her some good. Ace stood again and stood infront of the female doctor, jutting her hip out a little to the side and gave her a snide smirk.
“Can I have a test run, first? Just to see if I like them,”
The pink haired female said softly, her voice dropping to allow a huskier tone into her voice. Ace had wanted to seduce a doctor before and she knew that they were much too smart for the pink haired vixen to get a good look at her, but Ace never stopped trying.

Scarlet looked this girl as she seemed to be having like an anxiety attack, partly because she was pacing around. This was kind of confusing to the young doctor because she had never seen some act like this before. Scarlet was actually from a hospital not a mental institute, so the behaviors of patients did fascinate her a lot. Scarlet stopped writing wondering what she was going to do if this Josie thing came out. Scarlet wasn’t a good at fighting girls, though if she had to she could. It was the oddness that she just sat down when scarlet was talking about the new medication. That’s when a sigh of relief came out that she had finally settled down and was willing to talk about the medication. “It’s pretty basic, just eat food and take a few pain killers for the headaches and you will be fine. The only reason why this stuff is experimental is because they haven’t worked out getting the side effects out yet.” She said as she started to write her prescription on the note pad.
Scarlet was kind of lost in her own world thinking about the cute doctors here. Though, honestly she only seen one that was cute and he was a therapist and a little bit older than her. She knew she had her head in the clouds at this moment not really caring that she still had a patient in here. She listened to what Ace had to say about doing a test trail to see if she liked it or not. Scarlet thought about it, which kind of ruined her plan for the drugs. “Umm…” she said still thinking about it. It took a moment to really process that she was basically letting a patient go on easy meds, though were highly addictive. “Test run, I don’t see why not… you would get a taste of the drugs and see if you like them.” She said on the prescription she wrote for one week. “Does a week sound like a good test run?” Scarlet asked after a few moments of thinking things through. She slide the bottle across to her.
